LIMA — A popular own chef is growing his catering organization with a new sandwich store and cafe on Cole Road.
Lima’s Very best Meals Business, founded by area chef Daniel Hobbs in 2018, started off providing Hobbs’ gourmand burgers, tacos and deli sandwiches to the community following the coronavirus pandemic disrupted his regular catering and meal prep ventures.
He’d already been weighing the prospect of opening a little bistro, so Hobbs and his crew used the past couple months remodeling their catering store at 1250 N. Cole St. to consist of a miniature café. A small bar where by patrons can dine-in or get carryout will be all set before long, when an outdoor seating space is coming afterwards in 2021.
The menu is composed of a mix of gourmet burgers, French roll sandwiches and what Hobbs calls pizza-box nachos — a pizza box stuffed with nachos topped with a wide variety of meats like barbecue brisket, pulled pork or grilled hen and other toppings.
There are tacos and quesadillas stuffed with pulled pork, or French fries loaded with rooster, jalapeno product cheese and other toppings.
Hobbs has even developed a menu of what he’s contacting gorilla bowls filled with dozens of toppings like macaroni and cheese, brisket and Doritos.
The cafe is nonetheless going through renovation, but Hobbs ideas to open up the shop to the public at 11 a.m. most days.
Daniel Hobbs founded his very own catering and particular meal prepping business, Lima’s Best Meals Enterprise, in 2018. He’s now increasing with a cafe on Cole Avenue.
